Rotterdam - Shannon LaMora Magnano, 32, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 2nd, 2021. Born in Niskayuna, Shannon is the daughter of Kelly Peck Carlson and the late James J. LaMora. She attended Schalmont High School and Schenectady County Community College. Shannon was passionate about hospitality and providing excellent customer service which was evident through her work as a Bartender and Waitress at several area business locations and was most recently a partner at the River Road House in Rotterdam Junction. Shannon enjoyed fishing, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved her cats, her “babies”; Chevy, Shelby, Challenger and Nova. Magnano of Princetown, her mother and step father; Kelly Peck Carlson (Philip) of Pattersonville, sisters; Jessica Bond of Pattersonville and Felicia Naze of Rotterdam, grandmothers; Barbara “Amma” Peck and Virginie Pasquariella as well as cousins and many loving friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery in Rotterdam. Shannon’s family requests any memorial donations be made in her memory to the Bleeding Disorders Association of Northeastern New York at bdaneny.org.
