Daytona Beach FL- Scott M. Reyell, 57, of Alta Drive, passed away on September 10, 2013 at the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach Florida after a short illness. Scott was born on February 23, 1956 in Plattsburg NY the son of Ernest '˜Bud" and Barbara Mitchell Reyell. He lived most of his life in Schenectady/ Rotterdam area. He most recently lived in Daytona for the past 7 years. He was an excellent wrestler at Mont Pleasant High School. He also played on the Red Raiders Football team. He was the captain of both wrestling and football teams. He also was a flat track motorcycle racer. Scott was a hard worker throughout his life. He worked as a roofer most of his life, either through self employment at E. Scott Construction and at BBL Construction and Horizon Roofing. Scott is survived by the mother of his children Judy Fitzgerald, two sons Eric S. (Amber)Reyell of Rotterdam and Scott M. Reyell II of Rotterdam two grandsons Mason and Chase Reyell his brother Shawn (Lynne) Reyell of Rotterdam and his sister Suzanne Carter of Binghamton. He also leaves behind his sister in law Gail Reyell of Worcester Mass. He was very close to his cousin Linda DeMacy who helped Scott manage his affairs in Daytona. He is survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews. Scott was predeceased by his parents and his dear brother Rick. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Wednesday September 18 , 2013 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 12 pm. Interment will follow at St . Josephs Cemetery corners of Kings Road and Albany Street Schenectady. The family wants to give a special thanks to Scott's friends that always looked out for him in Florida, Bobby Bates and William Monte and in New York Mark Dennebaum, Mike DeCarlo and Lenny Blonde.
