Schenectady – Sarah Lilia Dingley, treasured daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2022 at the age of 44. Sarah was born in Hilo, Hawaii and was the daughter of Sandra Enright Bateman Dingley and the late Franklin Dingley III. She graduated from Mohonasen High School and went on to study American Sign Language. Sarah was a free spirit who loved to have fun. If there was fun to be had, Sarah was there, whether it be music festivals, casinos or any lively event. She loved people and had the gift of being able to talk to anyone from any walk of life. She also had the gift of luck. Any contest or raffle, Sarah would probably win. She was a very helpful person who gave back anywhere she could. If there was a negative situation, Sarah could make it positive. If there was an animal in need, Sarah was there. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and the love she gave. Sarah leaves behind her mother, Sandra Enright BatemanDingley; her sister, Brook L. Bateman; nephew, Nicholas “Neeko” Bateman (Shelby); great-niece, Shayne Diane Bateman and great-nephew, Nolan Nicholas Bateman; her dear friend and surrogate grandfather, James Donato Jr. as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. Besides her father, Franklin, Sarah was predeceased by her adored and cherished chihuahua, Chloe whom she loved beyond measure. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 23rd at 3pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2:30-3pm.
