Glenville- Sandra “Sandy” Pangburn Haas, 70, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2016. She was born on January 1, 1946 in Schenectady a daughter of the late Kenneth and Eileen Ferguson Pangburn. Sandy was a 1964 graduate of Guilderland High School. She married her beloved husband Howard Haas in May of 1965. Howard predeceased her in 1991. Together they raised two children Denise Haas Fraioli and Eric Haas in Rotterdam. She spent over 30 years employed at the Golub Corporation in Schenectady. Sandy was a humble servant of God, active and well known in the Rotterdam community for her many years of commitment to St. Gabriel’s Parish in Rotterdam. She was a Catechist, Eucharistic Minister, Women’s Club member and president and Parish Council member until her retirement from Golub. She loved everyone and everything about her church. She was also a Cursillo member and participated in many Curcillo weekends as a speaker. After moving to Glenville, she became an active member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception and served on the welcoming committee and assisted in the living stations program. Her strong faith led her and others to believe that anything is possible with God. Sandy is survived by her daughter and her husband Denise (Elio) Haas Fraioli her son Eric Haas, her two grandchildren Ciarra and Michael Fraioli and her siblings Kenneth Pangburn, Mary Pangburn Tokos, George Pangburn and Maureen Adamek Pangburn, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews . Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Monday January 2, 2017 from 4 lpm to 7 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to their charity of choice, in her name. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Route 50 Glenville on Tuesday January 3, 2017. Interment will be private
