Sandra "Sandi" Bethmann

d. November 19, 2024

It's with broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of our loving and devoted wife, mother, step-mother, sister, sister-in-law,  aunt and  grandmother, Sandra (Sandi) L. Bethmann on Tuesday November 19, 2024.

Sandi was born to the late John Beverly, Jr and Shirley Hilderbrand and is  predeceased by her sister, Carol Beverly.  Sandi leaves behind her loving husband, David Bethmann her beloved sons:  Trevor Ritchie and Brandon Williams; Step-children  Brandon Bethmann and Natsha Bethmann. Grandchildren; Brianna, J.P., David, Elliott and Cooper. Her beloved brothers and sister in law John and Diane Beverly and Michael Beverly.

Sandi was a graduate of Mohonasen High School in Rotterdam, NY. Sandi’s love for people led her to Maria College where she graduated with her Nursing Certification. She worked in this capacity for many years assisting Dr L. Barlin, Drs. Ford and Saperstone and completed her career serving the youth at Northeast Homes for Children.

She married the love of her life, Dave, and together they shared 25 years of laughter, love, and unwavering companionship. As a wife, she was his confidante, his partner, and his greatest supporter.

As a mother, she offered endless support and wisdom. nurturing her boys with all the love a mother could offer, guiding them through life with love and unshakable faith in their potential.

A true and faithful friend, Sandi leaves behind a wide circle of  friends who will forever hold her memory dear. Sandi was the person you could always count on. She was loyal, supportive, and compassionate. Readily offering a listening ear, wise advice, and genuine affection to all who were fortunate enough to call her a friend. She so enjoyed her many girls' getaways and frequent dinners but, it was her many Great Danes that truly stole her heart.

Her presence made life better, and her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who loved her.

Sandi had a unique sense of style, effortlessly blending elegance with ease. Whether she was hosting a gathering, attending a special event, or simply sharing a quiet moment with loved ones, she always radiated grace and warmth. Her sense of humor was legendary—she had an uncanny ability to find lightness and laughter in the everyday moments of life, and her sharp wit could bring smiles to any room.

Sandi’s family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the staff, nurses and doctors of Ellis Emergency and ICU.

At the request of Sandi services will be private to her immediate family. Donations to honor Sandi’s memory can be given to the Schenectady Animal Protective Foundation at 53 Maple Ave. Schenectady, NY https://www.animalprotective.org/
