Duanesburg - Sandra J. (Quinby) Adams, 62, passed away suddenly at Ellis Hospital on Saturday February 7, 2015. Born in Niskayuna, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Catherine Quinby. Sandy graduated from Duanesburg High School and lived most of her life in the Duanesburg area before moving to Schenectady several years ago. Sandy was an account manager for The Merriam Agency in Schenectady. She loved to spend time with family and friends and was a dear friend and "mom" to many and was always ready to lend an ear or offer advice. She is survived by her three children, Michael J. (Jocelyn) Adams of Glenville, NY, Kara Q. (Prentis) Henry of Hartselle, AL and Matthew J. (Jenna) Adams of Niskayuna, NY; six grandchildren, Olivia, Jack, Eva, Sam, Lyla and Daisy; three sisters, Claudia (Bernard) Mericle of Glenville, NY, Pamela Van de Car of Albany, NY and Cynthia (James) Lamb of Pattersonville, NY and one brother; Richard (Kelly) Quinby of Melbourne Beach, FL. Sandy is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Sandy was predeceased by her sisters, Deanna Farnum and Barbara Regels and her nephew, Jeffrey Van de Car. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
