Rotterdam – Ryan Nicole Buzzo, 37, passed away on Thursday, June 28th, 2018. Ryan was born in Niskayuna to her parents, Christine A. Buzzo and Nicolas M. Buzzo. A lifelong area resident, Ryan graduated in 1998 from Schalmont High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta and her Master of Arts in Literacy and Reading from the College of St. Rose. For 14 years, Ryan worked as an elementary school teacher with the Mohonasen Central School District. She loved children and took a lot of pride in shaping their young lives. Ryan leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving parents, Christine A. Buzzo and Nicolas M. Buzzo. Her brothers, Nicolas P. Buzzo (Tiffany), Michael C. Buzzo (Erica) and Caelan L. Buzzo. She also leaves behind her maternal grandmother, Karyl J. Cummings, her beloved niece and nephew, Ella J. Buzzo and Liam M. Buzzo as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ryan loved spending time with her family. She was an exceptionally loving and attentive aunt to Ella and Liam. Ryan was very creative and had a natural ability to decorate anything. Her family will carry their memories of her in their hearts forever. Ryan was a member of Northway Church and especially enjoyed attending their weekly worship service with her family. Ryan was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Paul G. Cummings and her paternal grandparents, Albert L. and Antoinette F. Buzzo. Calling hours will be on Friday July 6th, from 9am-12pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A memorial service will follow at 12pm. Interment will be private.
