Rotterdam - Ruth E.(Quigg)Lanoue , 97, formerly of Palmer Ave. in Rotterdam, passed peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Born in Schenectady, Ruth was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Wagnar Quigg. She was a member of the Draper High School class of 1943. Ruth was an active member of the Rotterdam Senior Citizens and the Rotterdam Elks LORE. She was also a member of the Glendale Nursing Home Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed working summers as the office manager in Lake Luzerne at the Mt. Kenyon Campground for over 20 years. In addition to her parents, Ruth was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Pierre Lanoue, who died in 1994 and her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Arlene Quigg. She is survived by her loving children; Michael (Bonnie) Cintula of Rotterdam, Bonnie (Dominick) DiGirolamo also of Rotterdam and Jeffrey Cintula, Burnt Hills, nine grandchildren; Shelley (Tim) Park, Tracie (Rob) Denny, Brian (Shannon) Haas, Sheri Cintula, Jason Cintula, Cameron Cintula, Alec Cintula, Richard (Rose) DiGirolamo and Linda DiGirolamo, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 am to 11 am at St. Gabriel’s Church, 3040 Hamburg St. in Rotterdam. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11 am. Entombment will follow the mass at Schenectady Memorial Park Cemetery. Ruth’s family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Nursing Home, Pine Plains & Mohawk Trails Units for their exceptional care and compassion during her time there.
