Our beloved mother, Ruby Laverna McMullen-Morrell, 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born in Sidney, NY and later relocated to Schenectady, NY with her family where she went to Linton High school and later started her own family. Ruby worked at General Electric for over 30yrs, retiring in 2004. Ruby loved to travel to dirt car races on weekends and to watch NASCAR. She loved to play bingo or go to the casino in her free time. She also loved to be with her family and play cards or dice games. She loved her trips down to the Carolina’s to visit her family there. She also loved to be there and help her family in any way they needed! She was a true believer of being there to help out anyone who needed her. She was predeceased by her mother Ardene McMullen-Winner; step father Harry Winner Sr; her birth father John Beardsley Merrill; also by her siblings, Donald Murray Sr and his wife Patricia Murray, Russell and Danny Winner, Janet Nicol, Ruth Lansing, Harriet Winner, and Ruby Crandall.
She is survived by her daughters Alissa Kwiatkowski Foote (Craig) and Trish Morrell Kenney (Joe); grandsons Dawson Foote and Derique Foote; and great grammy to Wesley Foote.
Also survived by her siblings Randy, Carol, Ronnie, Niles, and Harry Winner Jr., Thelma Salisbury, Donna Abbott, Nancy Haley, Kathleen Lints, and Pauline Edwards; several nieces and nephews, most closely Donnie and Greg Murray; her best friends in life, Linda Thayer, Joan Gage, Gail Pickett and Georgianna Nash. Special thank you to Erika Platt and Barb Kane for your special help and kindness with our mom.
