Guilderland – Rosemary C. Tanski, 87, formerly of Rotterdam, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peters. A lifelong area resident, Rosemary was born in Schenectady to her parents, the late Leo J. Murphy and Susan Carrano Murphy. Rosemary was a graduate of St. Columba’s School and worked for a short time at the General Electric Company. On August 11, 1956, Rosemary married her husband, Ronald E. Tanski and travelled the country with him while he served in the military. The two most important things in Rosemary’s life were her faith and her family, fully devoted to both. After raising her children, she played an ever-present role in raising her beloved grandchildren. She was a longtime faithful communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. Rosemary was a wonderful woman who enjoyed crafting, especially at Christmas, and traveling locally and visiting casinos with her husband, Ron. She leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Ronald Tanski; her children, Joseph Tanski (Mary Gene), Richard Tanski (Deborah) and Mary Campagnano (Bob); grandchildren, Joey Tanski (Leah), Frank Campagnano, Richard Tanski (Jessica) and Tony Campagnano (Diana); great granddaughter, Lucy Rose as well as her sister, Patricia Ginac along with her dear nieces and nephews. A visitation will be heldon Wednesday from 10-11amat DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home,1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam. Services will beginat 11amand will be followed by interment at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Rosemary’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Gary Siskin at Albany Medical Center, Maria her dedicated aid, the hospitalists and nurses on the6thfloor at St.Peter’s Hospital and the St. Peter’s Hospice Inn for their compassionate care.
