Rotterdam – Rose Perretta, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday February 17th at Baptist Health Nursing Center. Rose was born in Schenectady at home on February 11, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Tedisco and Catherine Selia Tedisco. She married Master Sergeant Theodore N. Perretta on February 10, 1946. Rose worked at the General Electric Co. in her early years. She later worked for Loblaws as head cashier retiring after 22 years. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore in November 1972, her brother Nicholas Tedisco, sisters Mary DiCocco and Katherine Carmichael. Rose is survived by her son Antonio (Marcia), two grandsons Antonio Jr. and Theodore N. (Rebecca) and two great granddaughters Madison and Sadie, a sister Philomena Cimino and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Baptist Health Center (S3) for their love and care during Rose’s time there. A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be celebrated 10 am Friday at St. Gabriel’s Church 3040 Hamburg St., Rotterdam. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. It is requested there be no calling hours.
