Rose M (Giovannone) Moyer

Rotterdam – Rose M. Moyer, 54, passed away Friday January 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, Rose was the daughter of John and Sandra (Kwiatkowski) Giovannone. A lifelong Schenectady resident, Rose graduated from Schalmont High School in 1986 and went on to obtain her EKG Technician certification from Schenectady County Community College. She worked in the registration unit of the NYS Department of Tax & Finance and attended St. Adalbert’s Church. In her spare time, Rose enjoyed walking her dogs, cooking, baking, gardening, going to the gym, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved going on vacation to Wildwood, New Jersey, Las Vegas and going on cruises. She is survived by her longtime boyfriend of 15 years Gary Costanzo, her daughter Mikaela Moyer, her mother Sandra Giovannone, her brother Robert Giovannone as well as nieces and nephews Tosha, Robert and Selina. Rose is also survived by aunts and uncles John (Barbara) Kwiatkowski, Lori Novak, Edward Novak and cousins Brenda (Steven) Dudas, Melanie (T.J.) Slowek and Staci (Christopher) Lil. Rose was predeceased by her father John Giovannone and her son William John. The family extends their special thanks to New York Oncology Hematology, Community Hospice and Ellis Medicine. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 11am-1pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A 1pm prayer service will immediately follow. Rose will be laid to rest at Sts.
