Rose Moebus passed away peacefully at the age of 93, surrounded by her family, on Saturday October 4, 2025. Rose was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married for 70 years to her beloved husband, Richard, who survives her at home.
Born on December 17,1931, she was originally from Queens, New York. Rose and Richard moved to Endicott in 1955, where they raised their family in Endwell and cherished over 60 years in the same home.
Rose is survived by her husband, Richard; their three children, Susan Brenner, Laura Jay, and Roy Moebus; her son-in-law, John Brenner; and daughter-in-law, Diane Moebus. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Christopher Brenner and his wife Lizzie Brenner, Richard Moebus, Michelle (Moebus) McCrary and her husband Patrick McCrary, and Michael Brenner. Rose was recently blessed with two great-granddaughters, Stevie Brenner and Gweneth McCrary.
An active member of Christ the King Parish in Endwell, NY and the local Elks Club, Rose enjoyed a full social life alongside Richard, surrounded by many dear friends. She took great pride in her family and especially loved gathering with them for holidays—always baking an unforgettable assortment of Christmas cookies.
Rose will be deeply missed by her family, extended family, and many friends who were fortunate to know and love her.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday October 14th from 10am to 11am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carmen Rd, Schenectady, NY 12303, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. She will then be interred in Riverhurst Cemetery, 2500 E Main St, Endwell, NY 13760. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Habitat for Humanity.
