Rose A. Mattoon

Rose A. Mattoon, 81, formerly of Stillwater, NY, passed away peacefully on Christmas morning. Rose was born in Troy, NY. She attended St. Joseph’s School and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1960. Rose worked for several years as a secretary with the NYS Education Department. In 1966, Rose married Frank Mattoon in Troy, NY. They were married for 48yrs before his passing in 2014. In addition to her husband, Rose was also predeceased by her parents, Luke and Rose Miller Heagney. She is survived by her loving children, Amy (David) Di Pietro of Rotterdam, Tracey Mattoon of Stillwater, NY., Jennifer Mattoon of Arnold, MO., and Daniel (Elizabeth) Mattoon of Charlton and two grandchildren, Isabella Di Pietro and Bradley Mattoon. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 8:30 am to 10:15 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. followed at 11 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Pleasant St. Burial will be private at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Stillwater, NY.
