Pawleys Island, SC-Rose M. Manuli, 92, formerly of Rotterdam passed away peacefully on March 25, 2015 surrounded by her beloved family. Rose was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary(Vitelli)Montenaro. She was a 1940 graduate of Draper High. Rose was employed as a Secretary with General Electric in Schenectady, retiring with 45 years of service in 1981. Rose was a former member of the GEAA, the GE Women's Club and the Broadalbin Beach Club. Rose had a deep fondness for animals. She loved to dance the Polka with husband Mike and very much enjoyed big "family get-togethers" and dinners. Rose was the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Manuli (1999), whom she married April 19, 1942; beloved mother of Rosalyn Manuli (Paul)Battaglino of Pawleys Island, SC; beloved sister of Stephen (June) Montenaro of Rotterdam, Pasquale Montenaro of Scotia and the late Leo Montenaro; beloved grandmother of Dr. Michael (Tracy) Battaglino of Cary, NC , Mark (Michele) Battaglino of Pawleys Island, SC, and Heather Colburn of Apex, SC; loving great grandmother of Matthew, Nicole, Olivia, Julia and Christopher Battaglino and Aiden Handzel ; loving sister-in-law of Edith Montenaro of Rotterdam. Rose is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held from5 to 7, on Tuesday evening,at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam. Funeral services will beginWednesday at 8:45 am at the funeral home, followed at 9:30 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
