Rose J. Falace, 97, was taken home by the Lord on Monday, February 26, 2018. Rose passed peacefully while at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Born in Schenectady, Rose was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Philomena Robittino Melideo. She attended Schenectady schools and was employed by General Electric for several years during WWII. Rose was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace and enjoyed crocheting and cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, Rose was also predeceased by her beloved husband; Anthony Falace, who died in 1991, her siblings; Nicholas Melideo, Carman Melideo, Rocco Melideo, John Melideo, Bessie Perretta and her twin sister, Grace Stroble. She is survived by her sons; Anthony Falace Jr (Katie) of Greenfield Center, NY. and Joseph Falace (Barbara) of Louisville, CO., sister in law; Karla Milliday, three grandchildren: Sarah Phillips (Eric), Erin Stangoni (Michael) and Amy O’Neill (Shane), all of Colorado, and three great grandchildren; Austin Michael, Peyton Rose and Josephine Ruth, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, 8:45 am from the funeral home, followed at 9:30am by a Mass of Christina Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 210 Princetown Rd. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Schenectady. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org, or the Wesley Foundation, 131 Lawrence St. Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866.
