Rosalia (Stipani) Capodicasa

Rosalia Stipani Capodicasa, 91, passed peacefully on August 27, 2021 at Hospice of the Valley in Suprise, Arizona. Born in Sambucetto, Teatino, Italy , Rosalia was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Stipani. She immigrated to the United States in 1971. Rosalia worked as a seamstress for 20 years with the Bellrod Co. in Schenectady. She enjoyed making and designing clothing for her children and neighbors and was a longtime, faithful member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmen Church. Rosalia and her late husband Remo, relocated to Arizona four years ago. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalia was also predeceased by her daughter, Josephine Rice who died in 2010. She is survived by her son, Walter P. Capodicasa of Buckeye, AZ.;her son in law,Jim Rice of Rotterdamand two grandchildren, Amanda Rice and Andrew Rice, both of Rotterdam. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 from 6-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, 9:15 am from the funeral home followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
