Schenectady - Ronald J. Salvador of Hawthorne Street, Schenectady passed away peacefully at his home with his wife Dorothea by his side on February 4th 2015.Ron is survived by his wife, Dorothea, Daughter Lori Salvador of Schenectady, Brother John (Kathleen) Salvador, Nephew John Michael (Kay) Salvador of Lake George, Niece Karen (Ross) Gardner of Florida, Aunt Lucy (Vito) Spinelli of Scotia, and many great Nieces and Nephews. Grandchildren Jaclyn Urys, Jared Uryes, and Jacob Uryes, Son in Law, Richard Urys of Schenectady, He was predeceased by his parents, John and Katie Salvador of Schenectady. Ron was a 1953 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School where he was active in varsity athletics. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea in the 50's. He was honorably discharged in 1956; he continued a local career in heavy construction before retiring from the NYS Office of General Services.He enjoyed golfing with friends, watching the Yankees and was an avid fisherman. Ron and Dorothea spent time between their camp on Galway Lake and Boynton Beach, FL Family and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial at St John the Evangelist on Saturday February 7th at 11.00 am.
