Rotterdam – Rocco Frank Liscio, 81, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021. Rocco, affectionately known as Rocky, was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Ralph and Lucy (Fasula) Liscio. A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Rocky went on to work as an assembler at the General Electric Company for 36 years. Rocky was an avid NY Yankees fan. He excelled at bowling, once rolling a 287-696 with the Turbine Keglers. In his spare time, he was a volunteer at the Schenectady Inner City Ministry, a member of the Beukendaal Masonic Lodge #915, and an outstanding amateur Italian chef. Rocky is survived by his daughter, Angela Liscio; former wife, Concetta Barber Liscio; brother, Pasquale Liscio; nephew and godson, Keith Liscio; nephew, Steven Liscio; nieces, Karen Sementilli (Peter) and Terri Liscio as well as one grandson, Connor; great nephew and niece, Patrick and Juliana Liscio and dear friend, Laura Crandall. Besides his parents, Rocky was predeceased by his daughter, Ava Marie Liscio; brother, Lawrence Liscio and nephew, Ralph Liscio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Services will begin Monday at 9:45am at the funeral home and will be followed by a funeral mass at St. Gabriel’s Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Rotterdam beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Glenville. Memorial contributions in Rocco’s name may be made to the Schenectady Inner City Ministry, 839 Albany St., Schenectady, NY 12307 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
