She loved to read, gain knowledge and share what she learned. She always encouraged everyone to do their best and keep studying. She was selfless, kind and concerned for everyone’s wellbeing. Robin was a joyful person. She was the most appreciative person, even of the smallest things. She was very proud of her family’s restaurant, Canali’s. Robin enjoyed working with and helping her brothers. Robin was a devout practicing Catholic. She prayed the rosary daily and enjoyed watching EWTN. She was able to watch Mass and participate in daily prayer. She was a “prayer warrior” and prayed for not only her many family members but any one in need. Robin was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church and a previous member of its Rosary Society. Robin was a member of the Alumni association of Albany College of Pharmacy. Robin was predeceased by her parents, Henry A. and Victoria Theresa Alteri and her sister, Eileen Mary (Gary) Gardner. She is survived by her brothers, Henry P. (Diane) Alteri and Peter (AnnMarie) Alteri, Uncle Doc Alteri, Aunt Katy (Guy) DeAngelis, cousins Lisa Pizzemento, Vicki Carrieri and many other loving cousins near and far. Robin was a great example of how to live out the Catholic faith and a loving aunt and great aunt to nieces, Angela (Dan) Micalizzi, Victoria Alteri, Veronica Alteri, nephews Anthony (Colleen) Alteri, Adam (Karina) Alteri, Daniel (Hannah) Alteri and Zachariah Alteri and her great nieces and nephews, Isabella, Gabriella, Anthony, Giovanni and Vivianna. Her nieces and nephews enjoyed hearing Aunt Robin’s stories, especially the story of the origin of her name, Robin, because she was born on the first day of spring. Our deepest heartfelt gratitude for all the cards, gifts, plants, flowers, prayers, well wishes, the blessed prayer shawl and the blessed prayer quilt given to Robin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 17th, 11 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Masks MUST be worn at the church. Burial will be at St’s Cyril & Method Cemetery.
