Robert J Pratt

Robert J. Pratt, 69 of Rotterdam died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Robert was born in Watervliet , NY and was a graduate of Mohonasen High School. He served in the US Air Force From 1962- 1966. Following his discharge, Robert worked as an Assembler at the General Electric Co. and retired in 2003. He was a member of Pinehaven Country Club and the O.C. Ski Club. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret Popolizio Pratt, who died in 2003 and hisparents, Richard and Leona Pickering Pratt. He is survived by his aunt; Josephine Sifo of Schenectady, cousins; Margaret Catellier of Clifton Park, George Sifo, and JoAnn Sifo of Schenectady, his brothers and sisters in law; Vincent (Marcia) Popolizio of Naperville, Ill., and George (Sandy) Preston of Albany; his nieces, Dr. Sandra L. (Charles Monestere) Preston and Kristen (Steve) Emerson and dear friends Barbara, Lawrence and Christopher Czech. A calling hour will be held on Monday, 9:30-10:30am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. A brief service will begin at 10:30 at the funeral home followed by committal services, with Military Honors, at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Robert's family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Albany Medical Center Hospital for their care of Robert during his time there.
