Rotterdam - Robert (Rob) Edward Carr died suddenly on November 30, 2022. He was born in 1970 to Roger and Nancy Carr in Niskayuna, NY. He graduated from Guilderland High School in 1988. Rob met the love of his life, Cathy Seiter Carr in 1994. He immediately knew she was “the one.” They married in 2001. He took great pride in anticipating his wife’s needs and meeting them before she even knew what she needed. He reveled in being a father. He loved and adored his children: Jon, Kimmi and Rebecca. He enjoyedcheering them on with all of their endeavors, including music, art and sports. Rob was an avid baker and was formerly employed by Grandma’s Pie Shop and Zachary’s Pastries. His current position was working for the Daughter’s of Charity, which he found to be extremely rewarding. He relished pampering the nuns, often requesting his wife to make quilts for those who were not feeling well. Rob was known for making the most amazing cakes for life celebrations with family and friends. He felt it was “his job to increase the size of the assess in the world”, which was ironic as he did not have one. Never trust a skinny baker! Rob loved “all things automobile”, no surprise given his last name. He spent his spare time on projects that included building and tinkering. Rob’s kindness and sense of humor were clearly evident to all who knew him. When Rob was younger, he served as a volunteer fireman. He was also a past member of Guilderland Center Volunteer Rescue Squad. Rob is also survived by his father Roger Carr and his siblings: Cathy (Carl) Cranker, Roger (Yvonne) Carr, Brian (Lisa) Carr, David (Cindy) Carr, Karen Carr and Mark (Barbara) Carr. He is also survived by his in-laws, Gene and Diane Seiter, brother-in-law, Mark Seiter and numerous nieces and nephews.Rob was predeceased by his mother, Nancy Carr and brother Ernest Carr.
