Robert L Cady

Schenectady – Robert L. Cady, 96, passed away on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019. Born in Schenectady to the late Victor and Emma (Fay) Cady, Bob attended Horstman Elementary School and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Bob is a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Coast Guard from 1943-1945. Bob worked at Campbell Plastics for 21 years and was a longtime member of Carman Fire Department. He is survived by his children Robert C. Cady (Barbara), Carol S. Grasso and Neal G. Cady (Allison) as well as 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife, the late Celia Cady in 2001. He was also predeceased by one brother, Victor Cady. Funeral services will be held privately. Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 or to a charity of one’s choice.
