Robert C Brown

Robert C. Brown, 81, formerly of Schenectady, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Robert was born in Rotterdam NY, the son of the late Frank and Guenevere Ryder Brown. As a young man, Robert enjoyed working on local farms. He was later employed for several years at the General Electric Co. Robert was an outgoing people person. He enjoyed gardening, trips to Lake George and attending concerts. He was always active and enjoyed interacting with people. In addition to his parents, Robert was also predeceased by his beloved wife of 27 yrs, Mary August Brown who died in 2014 and his brother Kevin Brown. He is survived by three brothers, Lawrence Brown of Anchorage, Alaska, Donald (Lois) Brown of Glenville and Terry (Lillian) Brown of Minerva, NY as well as nieces, nephews and loving friends. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11 am to 12 noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Robert will be laid to rest beside Mary at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady.
