Rotterdam-Mr. Richard Paul Vore, age 61, of Rotterdam passed away on Sunday afternoon, November 22, 2015 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family following a courageous 9-year battle with cancer. He was born on October 26, 1954 in Troy, son of Richard Coalts and the late Joan (Gaunay). Richard was united in marriage with the former Debra A. Massaro in 1976 in Troy; a blessed union of 39 years.A devoted public servant, Richard was a proud member of the Albany County Sheriff's Department for over 27 years of dedicated service.He was especially active in the K9 unit for many years, holding the title of Master Trainer, a job he was truly passionate about. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. Survivors include his wife, Debrahis children, Eric (Lori) of Sherman, CT, and Scott(Kelly) of Esperance; his father, Richard Coalts of TN; 9 grandchildren,sisters, Theresa Giaquinto of Schenectady, Janet Hottois of TN and Gloria Camacho of Schenectady . He is also survived by his beloved canine companions, Abby and Daisy.He was preceded in death by his mother Joan Vore, his adoptive father George Voresisters, Joanne Coalts and Ericka Burt. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service commencing at 12 noon on Friday, November 27, 2015 from the chapel of DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.
