Schenectady - Richard J. Fetherston (88) passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Kingsway Nursing Home in Schenectady, NY after a long and full life.Born in Dalton, MA, Richard is survived by his son, John Fetherston (Kerry) and daughters, Toni Shullek and Kate Fetherston, grandsons Martin and Richard, great-granddaughter Emelia and long-time friend Lorraine Turner.He was predeceased by his wife, Jean (Medicke) in 2001. Funeral services will be held at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home at 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Schenectady, NY on Thursday, January 29th at 11:00am. A calling hour, from 10-11 am, will precede the service at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Cyril's Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's name to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
