Richard Charles Baldwin

Guilderland-Mr. Richard Charles Baldwin, age 64, of Marilyn St., passed away on Friday evening, August 28, 2015, in the comfort of his home. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his closest family and friends. He was born on September 1, 1950 in Glen Cove., NY son of the late George N. and Beatrice (Eismann) Baldwin, Jr.Richard was a registered nurse at the VA Medical Center, Albany for over 30 years, having just recently retired and served proudly with the United States Air Force, being honorably discharged, holding the rank of Major.He graduated from Wagner College in 1973, from Boston University in 1975 with a master's in guidance and counseling, then from the Cornell University-New York Hospital School of Nursing in 1979.He was a 25 year member of the 139th AEF/ 109th Air Tactical Support Lift as a flight nurse.Richard loved the outdoors especially fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his canine companions. Survivors include his children, Aaron Baldwin and wife Jessica of Schenectady, Abigail Baldwin and fiancé Eric Medsker of New York City; grandchildren, Tyler and Joshua Baldwin; siblings, George Nelson Baldwin, III of Voorheesville, Robert Baldwin and wife Deborah Kay of Ohio; nephew, Keith Baldwin and wife Elizabeth; niece, Meredith Baldwin and husband Josh; a special friend, Dianne Baldwin; his four legged friend, Kenzi; along with many cousins and friends. The funeral will commence on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11 am from DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 am until 11 am prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.Burial will follow in Mt.
