Reginald Leon Poulin Sr. age 74 from Rotterdam passed away late November 2, 2014 at Ellis Hospital after a yearlong fight with cancer. Reggie, as he demanded to be called, was born in Waterville Maine to Amie and Graziella (Giroux) Poulin. Reggie was married for 51 years to Claudette A. (Fortin) Poulin of St-Evariste,Quebec. Together they had 5 children: JeanGuy and wife Dina (L'Heureux) Poulin, Nicole Kitrick, Colette Poulin and wife Amanda Eilenfeld, Reggie Jr. and Nadine (Delra) Poulin and Stephanie and husband Joseph Warlik.He also leaves behind his pride and joy of 7 grandchildren: Jessica, Brian, Scott, Reggie III, Leon, Regina and Emily Grace and is also survived by his sister Vivian LaBonte and her husband Bruce of Florida. Reggie had a 36 year career with the United State Postal Services. He started as a mail carrier that led to being the Postmaster of both Schenectady and then Albany. He was an avid golfer, especially with his sons, a bowler and a member of Red Sox nation and a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan.But above all else, what he enjoyed the most, was being surrounded by the love of his life, Claudette, his children and grandchildren.As a parishioner of Saint Madeleine Sophie Church in Guilderland, he was very active in many aspects of the church community. Viewing Hours will be held on Wednesday eve from 6-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpk. in Guilderland. Funeral services will begin on Thursday November 6, 2014, 9:15 from the funeral home, followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Madeleine Sophie Church.
