Raymond H Keys

Raymond H. Keys, 88 of Guilderland, died peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Ray was born in Hebron, NY the son of the late George and Emma Weaver Keys. As a young man Ray worked on local farms, he later worked for several years with the NYS Thruway Authority before taking a position with SUNY Albany as a Groundskeeper. He retired in 1985. He then worked part time for several years at The Gade Farm in Guilderland. Ray was a charter member of the West Hebron Vol. Fire Dept. He loved to plow snow, and was always looking forward to that first snowfall. In addition to his parents, Ray was also predeceased by his brother, Ralph Keys. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Edith Knaggs Keys as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A calling hour will begin on Tuesday morning at 10 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpk. (Rt. 20) in Guilderland. Funeral services will begin at 11 am at the funeral home.
