Rachael Mae Lacette

March 20, 1997 — January 20, 2020

SCHENECTADY- Rachael Mae LaCette of Schenectady, NY passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020. She was born on March 20, 1997 in North Carolina. She grew up in Schoharie and attended Schoharie Central Schools. When Rae Rae came into a room you knew it, she had a bubbly personality that was infectious. She lived to take care of everything and anyone who came into her life. Rae laughed hard and loved even harder. Her soul was pure and genuine; she was a protector to those she loved. The center of Rachael's life was her son Mikey. Nothing on earth gave her more joy and happiness than he did. Rae was very saddened by the loss of her cousin Tommy who also left us too soon. Their souls were way too innocent for the world we live in and it gives her family comfort knowing he was there to take her by the hand. "And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light and they will reign forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 22:1-5 (ESV) Rachael is survived by her son Michael Carroll III, her mother Maria Papale, father Terrance LaCette (Melissa Mavente), her brother Austin Tracey (Lois) and sister Cadie LaCette (Bryan Wood), step-siblings Jack and Kimberly Koretnicki (however, Rae did not like the term step), her grandmother Bertha Mae Papale and several aunts, uncles, cousins, beloved nieces, nephew and many friends. A celebration of Rachael’s life will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4pm-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Schenectady, NY 12306. All are invited to visit with her family.
