Polly M (Rose) Mastroianni

Schenectady - Polly Mastroianni, 61, passed away quietly on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she left us far too soon. Polly, a talented artist, a homemaker for much of her life, loved children, animals, playing, swimming, laughing, music, gardening, playing her ukulele and all things arts and crafts. Polly is survived by her four daughters: Norma Mastroianni, Mattia Mastroianni, Patricia Barto and Jeannette Mastroianni, six grandchildren, and her sisters: Nan (Walter Bankes) Schaller, Kay (Curtis) Deel, Tina (Gerard) Van Eick, and Karen (Joseph) Sands. She was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Peter Mastroianni, her parents, Marion and Rae Rose, and her brother, Henry Rose. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 8 from 10 AM - noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, NY followed by a noon service at the funeral home as well. A reception will follow the service at Delorey’s Bar and Restaurant, 2518 Broadway, Schenectady, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Polly’s memory to the American Diabetic Association, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America or any animal protection service.
