Phyllis J (Ferneyhough) Harrison

Rotterdam - Phyllis J. Harrison, 79, of Rotterdam, passed peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, Phyllis graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1960. She went on to receive her degree in nursing from the Ellis School of Nursing in 1963. For many years Phyllis worked as a Registered Nurse in the office of Dr. Nicholas Procino and later as a Nurse with the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office. Phyllis was a longtime member of St. Madeleine Sophie Church in Guilderland. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Simone Crepeau Ferneyhough. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas J. Harrison III, her sons, Thomas J. Harrison IV of Rotterdam and Patrick S. Harrison (Penny) of Randolph, MA., her brother, Stanley Ferneyhough (Brigetta)) of Minnesota and three grandchildren, Sayer G. Harrison, Olivia Harrison and Kathryn Harrison. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 9:15 – 10:15 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. followed at 11 am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd. Entombment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. Memorial donations may be made in Phyllis’s memory to the Schenectady Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave, Scotia, 12302.
