Philomena (Dimanno) Palleschi

June 28, 1927 — December 15, 2020

Schenectady – Philomena Palleschi passed away peacefully at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center on December 15, 2020, at the age of 93. Philomena was born in Schenectady to the late Concetta and Luigi DiManno. Her life was devoted to her family, nothing mattered to her more. She was always kind to everyone she met and always managed a smile through her many family losses. Philomena’s faith and strength are what kept her family going. Philomena worked as a waitress for many years and then enjoyed a career at General Electric until her retirement. She was a devoted, lifelong member of Mt. Carmel parish. Philomena was married to the love of her life, Francis, for 72 years, until his passing in 2018. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Salvatore DiManno, her loving children: Elaine Conti, Michael (Chip) Palleschi, and Joseph Palleschi, and her grandson Michael Palleschi Jr. Philomena is survived by her sister Frances Saburro of Schenectady, her cherished son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Barbara Palleshi of Rotterdam, her son-in-law, Carl Conti of Las Vegas, NV, and her five grandchildren: Craig Conti of Chicago, IL, Carla Leto of Broadalbin, Krystal Benoit of Colonie, Ryan Palleschi of Albany and Michelle Palleschi of Springfield, MA; and three great-grandchildren: Michael Palleschi III of Rotterdam, Angela Leto of Broadalbin and Khrystian Benoit of Colonie; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the outstanding staff in the D wing and the activity department at Kingsway for all their compassion and support. In honor of her wishes, there will be no calling hours and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or other charitable organization in her memory. Arrangements are by R.J. DeLuccia Funeral Service.
