Burnt Hills - Philip G Heise, 66, passed away suddenly Feb 8, 2016.Born in Meco, NY on August 3, 1949, he was the son of the late George and Catherine (Frank) Heise.Phil graduated from Mayfield High School and went directly into the GE Apprentice Program.He worked at the GE Corporate Global Research and Development Center in Niskayuna, NY as a tool and die maker, retiring in 2008 after 38 years of service. On September 17, 1989 he married Maria Carlino Marra, the love of his life.They were married over 26 years and together they raised sons Anthony J. Marra and Stephen N. Marra. Phil is survived by 7 grandchildren Dylon Ferguson-Marra, Christian Marra, Skyann Hadsell, Justin Hadsell, Ian Hadsell, Marisa Marra and Nevaeh Hadsell. Philip is survived by 2 sisters,Carol Darling and Rose LaDeau (Butch), a brother, David Heise (Peggy) and several nieces and nephews. Philip was predeceased by his brother William Heise. Phil loved to volunteer spending time with Rotary District 7190 and the Saratoga Springs Rotary Club.He received the Paul Harris Fellow in July of 2015. He was a active member of the Galway Fish & Game Club and the Adirondack Foothills Pistol League.Phil was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and kayaking.He could be seen most days walking his constant companions, yellow labs Misty and Smoky.Phil delighted in stopping and talking to his neighbors and friends during these walks.He made many new friends while camping and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Calling hours will be held Saturday February 13thfrom 10 am - 12 noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon. Burial will be private.
