Philip F Bubb

Philip F. Bubb, 87 of Guilderland, passed away at home on Friday, October 23, 2015. Philip was born in Schenectady and was a graduate of St. Columbus High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1952. Philip worked for 40 years as a steel worker for the General Electric Co. and retired in 1988. He was a member of St. Madeleine Sophie Church and the GE ¼ Century Club. Philip enjoyed working in his garden, was an avid Siena Basketball fan and loved stock car and dirt track racing, especially at Fonda Speedway. Philip was predeceased by his parents; Philip and Elizabeth Ballard Bubb and his sister; Olive Johnson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Dorothy Duszynski Bubb, three sons; Paul Bubb of Duanesburg, Phillip F. Bubb III and his Wife Darlene of Troy and Peter Bubb(Patricia Marx) of Rotterdam, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday from 10- 11:30 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
