After a brief, vicious battle with cancer, Peter Fowlerpassed away in his home November 2, 2017, surrounded by family and loved ones. Peter brought spirit and adventure to everything he did. He was a daredevil, and an outdoorsman. He believed in doing the right thing, even when nobody was looking. He made a deep impression on everybody he met, believed fundamentally in the goodness of people, and in that fierce belief carved a space for them to flourish. He loved to help, and was beyond generous with his time and energy in helping others. He worked with his hands, and was proud of his many accomplishments as a carpenter and craftsman. Peter had an unique gift for understanding space and distance, and often did his carpentry work by intuition and instinct, without blueprint. He loved motorcycles, and rode them fast and often. He loved the Adirondacks, hiking, and playing in the woods. He was the most alive in the forest. Peter was a devoted friend, a trusted brother, a beloved son, and the best father anybody could have hoped for. The world is smaller now without him, and we will miss him dearly. A wake will be held on Saturday November 11 from 12pm - 3pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd.), Guilderland, NY 12084.
