Peg (Reilly) Tyndell

Rotterdam- Peg passed away at home, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Blue skies are finally shining upon her. Born in Albany, NY on October 9, 1940 to John A Reilly and Grace Powers Reilly. Peg graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1958, Sage JCA in 1986 and The College of Saint Rose in 1989. She was employed by The Sage Colleges, WGY, The Altamont Enterprise and the Albany College of Pharmacy. She was a "Landmark" education devotee, and greatly enjoyed swimming at the Sacandaga and YMCA. She loved nature in all its glory, and adopted all four legged friends who walked her way. Beloved wife of 44 yearsof Gary M Tyndell, until his passing in 2006. She is survived by her children, Meg and Chris Wyanski (Rotterdam), and Marty and Evelyn Tyndell (Latham). She was proud grandmother to Matt and Grace Wyanski, and Greg, Harry and Alicia Tyndell. Her siblings are Regina Reilly (California), Rosemary and Peter Myers (Selkirk), Carol VanderLaan and Bruce Baright (Florida), John and Sheila Reilly (Altamont), Mary and Al DeMarco (Colonie), and Katie and Fred Thomsen (Syracuse). In addition to her godchildren Brendan Welch, Erin DeMarco and Patrick Thomsen, she is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and her life-long friend and Jeopardy buddy, Barbara Kuban. She was step-grandmother to Jennifer, Emily and Mitchell (Angie) Chaney. The family would like to thank Dr. Snezana Mijovic Das for her companionate care and understanding, and Dr. Pamela Pettigrew-Duffield for asking "Why?" and prescribing chocolate ice cream. Calling hours will be held Monday July 1, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd.) Guilderland. Funeral services will begin 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lucy's/St. BernadetteChurch 122 Grand St., Altamont.
