Paula J. Vanderwerken

CLIFTON PARK- Paula Jane VanDerWerken passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2023, after a courageous battle with metastatic cancer.

Paula was born on April 18, 1945, in Amsterdam, NY to Albert Wilson and Marion Burrows. She was a 1963 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. She worked for many years as a supervisor in the health insurance industry.

She was a volunteer for Gilda’s Club and the American Cancer Society assisting others with cancer.

Paula took a great deal of pride in her home and garden.

She was an animal lover and had many pets throughout her life which she showered with affection.

She is predeceased by her parents Albert Wilson and Marion Burrows and lifelong friend Dawn Burton.

She is survived by her children Robert, Scott, sister Kathi DiCesare as well as many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Paula’s family would like to thank Jonathan, Beth, Jennifer, Sue, Bob, NYOH, and all her Carriage Rd neighborhood friends for their support during her illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paula’s family on Saturday July 22, 2023 from 10- 11am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral home 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady. Her memorial service will follow at 11am.
