Schenectady - Paula Capullo, 93, passed away on Thursday, February 9th, 2017 at Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. Born on March 30th, 1923, Paula was the daughter of the late Martin and Elena (Ippolito) Capullo. Survived by her beloved niece and God-daughter, Angela Capullo, whom she raised, her loving and devoted sisters, Dorothy Cotugno of Schenectady, NY and Alice Lunick of Syracuse, NY. She is predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Armand, Charles, Frank, Louis, Ernest, and Harvey Capullo, and sisters, Eleanor, Mary Valletta, and Matilda Ranze, along with many, many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Paula was a long-term resident of Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre where she was well loved by the staff and residents. As such, she was given the honor of performing the ribbon cutting during its grand opening ceremony. She was deeply devoted to her family and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her loved ones. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. All who met her, loved her. Calling hours will be on Friday, February 17th from 9am to 10:15am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Pleasant Street, Schenectady. Interment will take place at St. Cyril’s Cemetery in Rotterdam.
