ROTTERDAM - Patrick Theadore Lundy died on Wednesday Sept 27th 2023 at home in Schenectady NY from cancer.Pat was born Nov. 8th 1948 one of 3 sons and a daughter of Honorine and Edward (George) Lundy of Massena NY. Pat had an exciting childhood hunting, fishing and boating. He later enlisted in 1968 going into the 82nd Airborne Division. He served with distinction until 1971. He married his long-term soul mate Linda Cortese. Pat was trained as a welder fabricator and worked for various companies building high end tech. In the late 80’s he formed Lundy Welding and was self-employed for a time making nuclear power plant water filtration equipment. He ended his Career working for CBM fabrication in Saratoga. By all accounts Pat was a master welder fabricator. In short, he could build and or fix anything and overcome any problem, something he strived to engrain into his children. Pat enjoyed many hobbies, being on the water whether it was the rivers in NY or in Naples FL on the Gulf of Mexico with his sister Georgia. Pat and Linda enjoyed a lifetime of trips down there together. Linda relaxing in the sun and Pat kayak-sailing beyond the horizon. He was truly fearless. Later in life Pat was an avid target rifle shooter and belonged to Forbes Rifle and Pistol Club for years. While there he attained local and National level shooting awards and was known for his devotion and competitive excellence. Pat is Survived by his Wife Linda Lundy and their 3 children Jeremy (Carolyn) Lundy, Amy (Michael) Stuart, and Matthew (Penelope) Lundy, and four grandchildren, Alex Stuart, Madison Lundy, Sienna Stuart, Mason Lundy, and Sister Georgia Lundy.
Pat battled cancer successfully for many years. He was a kind, yet uniquely tough individual. Hard to explain unless you knew him. They don’t make them like him anymore! He is loved and will be missed by many. As per Pats wishes there will be no calling hours.
