Ocala, FL - Patricia A. Marsello Thomas, 77, of Ocala, Florida passed away at the Ted & Diane Brandley Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer on November 1st, 2021. Patti was born on September 2nd, 1944 and resided in Schenectady, NY until 1997 when she moved to Florida. She graduated from Mohonasen H.S. and married her former husband, Leonard Thomas and raised her two sons, Lenny and Danny in Rotterdam, NY. Patti was a friendly, familiar face working at Friendly’s Restaurant, Freihofer’s Thrift Shop, and Bernie’s Garage in Schenectady. She is survived by her sons, Leonard (Sally), Daniel (Lisa), brothers Joseph (Pam), Michael (Brian), grandchildren, Nikki, Ashleigh, Mikayla, Rebecca, Cassandra, and Alex. She also is survived by her great-grandchildren, William, Xavier, Gionni and Annalise, nieces, nephews,cousins and uncle. Patti was predeceased by her parents, Theresa Bengevengo Marsello and Frank S. Marsello, and brother Frank J. Marsello and longtime companion Fred Wilcox. Patti leaves behind her beloved dog, Bailey and all of her kitties. Patti lovingly was called the crazy cat lady. She had such a soft spot in her heart for animals. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 20th from 9 - 11 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. A celebration of Patti's life will begin at 11 am at the funeral home. The family requests masks be worn.
