Patricia "Sissy" Marx

SCHENECTADY- Patricia (Sissy) Marx, 72, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ballston Spa, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Mary (Cook) Merriman.

Patricia is survived by her husband Nicholas F. Marx; children Mary (Carl) Corlew, Julia (the late Kenneth) Kristel, Melissa (James) Fournier, Patty Marx, Jenny Marx and Nicholas (Ann) Marx. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and her aunt Patricia Lyons. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, her brother Harry Merriman, sister Tonalaya Cook, daughter Terri Clark and her son Nicholas.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, May 26th at 11:30 am in the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sissy’s family prior to her service at the funeral home from 9:30- 11:30 am. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, Scotia.
