Patricia J (Stay) Ryan

Rotterdam – Patricia J. Ryan, 88, beloved wife, mother, gramma and great gramma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8th, 2022. Born in Rotterdam, Patricia was the daughter of the late Frederick R. Stay and Winnifred Issac Stay. Patricia enjoyed her yearly trips to Myrtle Beach, large family gatherings and her daily newspaper word searches. She leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Douglas N. Ryan Sr.; children, Debra (Pasquale) Tebano, Douglas (Sylvia) Ryan Jr., Karen (Douglas) Borst, Scott (Vincette) Ryan, Mark (Susanne) Ryan and Michele (Brian) Blake; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings; Edmond, Grace, Bonnie and Gloria as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings; Fred, Walter, Lester, Robert, Gertrude, Ella and Naomi and one grandson, Anthony P. Tebano. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11am-12pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam with a service beginning at 12pm. Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Patricia’s family would like to express their gratitude the staff on A4 at Ellis Hospital and to Community Hospice for their professional and compassionate care.
