Patricia Pon Lin

Patricia Pon Lin passed away at the age of 87, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Columbia Cottage in Wyomissing, PA. Her children were by her side. She was born in New York City and grew up in Chinatown.

She earned her Bachelor's Degree at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, then worked as a Lab Technician at Memorial Sloane Kettering in Manhattan. There, she met a circle of women who became her lifelong friends. In 1969, she married Edward JC Lin. In 1974, his job took them to Philadelphia, PA, and in 1976 on to Schenectady, NY. She raised 4 children, Melissa, Michael, Martin, and Christopher. In Schenectady, she continued working at St. Clare's Hospital, where she met more lifelong friends. She spent her later years in Florham Park, NJ, then Berks County, PA.

Patricia enjoyed cooking, baking, going to the gym, playing bingo, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Pon, of Camerino, Italy, her brother, Lucian (Judy) Pon, of Ocean Township, NJ, her children, Melissa (John), Michael, Martin, and Christopher, and her grandson, Jet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wing and Amy Pon, and her husband, Edward.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10 AM to Noon, at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam, NY.

A Funeral Service will begin at Noon, followed by Burial at 2 PM, at the Albany Rural Cemetery.
