Rotterdam- Patricia ‘Pat” Bonitatibus, 85, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Ghent NY on March 5, 1932 a daughter of the late William Siter and Eleanor Sipperly-Westover. Pat received her education in Medical Laboratory Sciences at Alfred. She was employed at Ellis Hospital until her retirement in 1997. Pat was a member of St. Paul’s Church, she belonged to numerous organizations including Ladies of the Elks, a Columbette of the Knights of Columbus, a member of Birthright and volunteered at Proctors. She was an avid sports fan of basketball and football. Family and friends were precious to her, she lived life to the fullest, ALWAYS with a smile. Her spirit will be a part of us wherever we go in life. Pat was predeceased by her husband Frank, married January 11,1953, he was the love of her life, they enjoyed over 40 years of marriage. She is survived by their children Lynn (Thomas) Rivers of Rotterdam, Stephen Bonitatibus of Schenectady and Karen (Beth) Bonitatibus of Ballston Lake, 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Jessica and Joseph Rivers, 5 blessed great grandchildren Olivia, Nathaniel, Bethany, Gianna and Ava. Pat is also survived by her sister Joan Diskin, her brothers Steve (Ansley) Siter and Gerry (Carol) Siter. Pat surrounded herself with loving friends and special nieces & nephews and her BFF Darlyne. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Wednesday May 17, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday May18, 2017 at St Paul’s Church at 10 am Schenectady. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Birthright Organization of Schenectady.
