Pasquale Pat Liscio

ROTTERDAM – Pasquale (Pat) Liscio, 89, passed away peacefully in his home under hospice care on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Ralph and Lucy (Fasula) Liscio.

Pat was a 1952 graduate of Nott Terrace High School and a 1954 graduate of Mohawk Valley Technical Institute with a degree in Retail.  He had a long business career and owned and operated Hollywood Cleaners on Broadway in Schenectady and Mr. Discount Wine & Liquor in Rotterdam.  In retirement, Pat began a successful career in real estate.  Throughout his lifetime he was an avid investor and enjoyed following the stock market.  CNBC was a fixture on his television during the day.

His greatest joy, though, was spending time with his family, especially his dear grandchildren.  In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing with his wife Grace and tending his garden.

After college, Pat served as a company clerk in a U.S. Army M.A.S.H unit stationed in Germany.  He took advantage of his time in Europe to visit several countries and to meet long-lost family in Italy, documenting his travels on his 35mm camera and a home movie camera.

Pat was the husband of the late Grace (Fili) Liscio; father of Keith and Steven Liscio; brother of the late Lawrence Liscio and the late Rocco Liscio; grandfather of Patrick and Juliana Liscio, uncle of Terri (the late Ralph) Liscio and Karen (the late Peter) Sementilli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Schenectady.  Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Pat’s family on Sunday, October 1 from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at Demarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
