Albany – Pamela Quinby Van de Car, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday May 7, 2022. Born in Niskayuna she grew up in Delanson and was a graduate of Duanesburg Central Schools. She then moved to Albany and raised her 2 sons single handedly. For 39 years Pam worked for the NYS civil service department retiring in 2006. She will be remembered for her expertise in gardening, her love for God’s creatures especially her cats and her undying devotion to her children and family. She is survived by her son Scott C. (Lelia Danker) Van de Car. Her sister Cynthia Quinby Lamb and her brother Richard A. Quinby. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many devoted friends. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Catherine Quinby, Her son Jeffrey R. Van de Car, her sisters Barbara Regels, Claudia Mericle, Deanna Farnum and Sandra Adams and her nephew Anthony Bucci. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
