Onja Rose Howard

Onja Rose Howard, 3 of Schenectady, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday July 9, 2013 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Onja was born in Albany and was attending Parsons Early Head Start in Schenectady. Though her time with us was short, Onja touched many lives. She is survived by her parents, Nicole Dukes and Delwone Howard, both of Schenectady, her brothers and sisters; Saviyona, Delwone Jr., Niel and Dawton,her grandparents; Patricia Gauldin of Schenectady, Angel and Linda Isaac of Wilton and Joyce Mason of Albany,her aunt; Lindsey Gauldin of Schenectady and "mama" Dawn. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, 10-12 am at Trinity Baptist Church, 2635 Balltown Rd. in Niskayuna. Funeral services will begin at the church at 12 noon. Burial will follow the services at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland. Onja's family would like to thank the staff at Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center in New York and the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center's Pediatric Oncology Department for their compassionate care and concern during Onja's treatments.
