Schenectady - Olyve E. Linton, who celebrated her 100th birthday on November 12th, 2020, went home to be with Jesus on December 4, 2020. Born in Saugerties, NY, Olyve was the daughter of the late Vernon & Carol Snyder Engelman. She worked as head cashier with Saveway in Schenectady for 20 Years. She also worked as Teachers Aide at Elmer Avenue School, worked in the gift shop at St.Clares Hospital and was a Poll Worker for many years. She also spent time working with Volunteer Services at the Annie Schaffer Senior Center. In addition to her parents, Olyve was also predeceased by her beloved husband Reginald H. Linton, who died 1976 and three grandchildren, Austin Mazzucco, Albert Gallo, and Lynn Grant and stepdaughter Beverly Gallo. She is survived by her loving daughter Donna(Fran) Hughes, three grandchildren, Richard Kownack Jr, Scott (Erika) Kownack and Tammy (Andy) Mazzucco, great grandchildren Brandon, Logan and Julianna Mazzucco, Lucas and Sophie Kownack, Nickolaus & Alexis Kownack, step granddaughters Shirley Gallo, Patti(Charlie) St Andrews, Melissa(John)Foti, and Wendy Hughes, step grandchildren Quinn(Brian) Barrett, Anthony(Kayla)Gallo, Albert Ross Gallo, Justin, Kevin and Chad Grant, Kirk and Christopher St Andrews, step great grandchildren, Joshua Rotundo(Jen), Tyler McCleary(Jenna), John Foti(Sarah), Ryan(Rachel) Foti, great great grandchildren Christopher and Jasmine Barrett, and Tyler Henry. Step great great grandchildren Brandon and Bentley Rotundo and Nora-Lei McCleary. Calling hours will be private. A graveside service, to which family and friends are invited, will be held on Saturday, 10:30 am at Vale Cemetery in Schenectady.
