Guilderland - Olvea Daniger, 89, of Guilderland, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Born in Pratola Peligna, Italy, Olvea was the daughter of Dominic and Ersilia D'Alessandro. She came to the United States in 1947. For 17 years Olvea was an assembly line worker for Campbell Plastics in Rotterdam. Her husband, James J. Daniger, passed away on January 23, 2002 and her daughter, Connie Short passed away in 1991. Olvea is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Hathaway of Ballston Lake. Four grandchildren; Wendy (Michael) Gaudio, Kenneth Hathaway, Lisa (Jason) Vedder and James (Kim) Hathaway. Seven great grandchildren; Taylor, Teagan, Ciara, Ryan, Ayla, Wesley and Hannah. Her brother and sister; Antonio D'Alessandro and Rita Notarandrea both of Italy. Olvea is also survived by her son-in-law, John Short along with several nieces and nephews. Calling hours, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd.) Guilderland. Funeral services will begin 9:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland.
